Tech Upgrade is an exciting NEW start-up company in Milwaukee. We are looking for an experienced salesperson that can excel in an ever-changing work environment. We want an individual who is inspired by the start-up community and recognizes the potential that comes with working in this type of environment.

Tech Upgrade is an Educational Re-Seller of computer hardware, software, networking, peripherals, storage, communications and consumer electronic products. We currently sell to School Districts in WI, MN, IN and IL. We carry over 500,000 products and carry most major manufactures.

Account Manager - Inside Sales

Skill Sets Required:

• 2+ years in customer service, sales or administrative experience is necessary

• Ability to multi-task effectively

• Excellent telephone, speech and language skills

• Ability to perform basic math functions, compute ratios, rate, percent, commissions and discounts

• Ability to deal with customers and manage multi-tiered accounts

• Previous exposure to an sales environment is a strong asset

• Ability to solve practical problems, especially where limited standardization exists

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide ‘highest level’ of customer service possible

• Prepare quotes and enter orders

• Process help requests from customers

• Back up other Sales Reps as needed

• Write/process returns

• Perform lead generation

• Locate/research/learn about products

• Create marketing material

• Approach ever-changing environment with positive attitude

• Process billings/invoices for Accounts

• Verify credit references and fax credit forms

• Maintain Accounts as assigned

• Any other duties as assigned

Purchasing/Accounting Manager

Skill sets required:

• 1+ year’s Purchasing or Buying experience is necessary

• Ability to negotiate and grow vendor relationship

• Prefer 4-year degree in business curriculum

• understand supply-chain management

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Excellent telephone, speech and language skills

• Ability to perform basic math functions, compute ratios, rate, percent, commissions and discounts

• Ability to deal with Distributors and manage Multiple Vendor accounts

• Ability to solve practical problems, especially where limited standardization exists

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Negotiate fair pricing with current and new Vendors

• Manage and maintain online product catalog

• Review and improve pricing for online catalog

• Oversee Vendor promotions and special bid pricing

• Increase profits through accurate and fair purchasing negotiation

• Locate/research/learn about new products

• Create promotional and marketing material

• Approach ever-changing environment with positive attitude

• Process purchasing/billings/invoicing for Orders

• Able to carry out financial analyses

• Other duties as they may be assigned

Should be willing take risks and be able to be decisive. Need resourcefulness, good judgment, and self-confidence to negotiate using a ‘best practices’ policy.

Accounting / Bookkeeping - PAID Student Internship

Skill sets required:

• Attention to detail

• Interest in business, accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Ability to perform basic math functions, compute ratios, rate, percent, commissions and discounts

• Ability to solve practical problems, especially where limited standardization exists

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enter in and Verify Invoices

• Working with Account mangers on pre/post sales issues

• Identifying areas of improvement

• Organization of purchasing and accounting system

• Business administrative assignments

• Create promotional and marketing material

• Approach ever-changing environment with positive attitude

• Process purchasing/billings/invoicing for Orders

• Other duties as assigned

With a Student internship, applicant should be willing and interested in starting off with small task and open the concept of learning new skills.

Part Time – 10 to 20 hours a week.
